The Catamaran ZOE is a seaworthy and stabile sailing ship.
Der Katamaran ZOE ist ein robustes und hochseetaugliches Segelschiff.

ZOE crossed the Atlantic eight times, sailed in the Mediterranean Sea and close to Cape Hoorn in Patagonia.
ZOE überquerte 8 mal den Atlantik, segelte im Mittelmeer,
in der Biskaya und war in Patagonien.

With her length of 16 meters and her with of 8 meters, catamaran ZOE is much more comfortable and safer than monohulls. Mit 16 Metern Länge und 8 Metern Breite ist der Katamaran deutlich komfortabler und sicherer als Schiffe
mit einem Rumpf.

The ship's safety equipment is up to date. Many systems
on board are twice (water pump, navigation, autopilot,
generator ...), the two powerful engines are also important
if there is no wind. ZOE ist sicherheitstechnisch auf dem neuesten Stand. Viele Systeme an Bord sind doppelt vorhanden (Wasserpumpen, Navigation, Autopiloten, Generatoren, …),
die beiden kräftigen 2 Motoren überwinden Flauten zuverlässig.

The ship is equipped with a "water maker" (reverse osmosis) for drinking water and has a constantly running disinfection system of the water used for showers and washing the plates. Das Schiff ist mit einem "Wassermacher" (Umkehrosmose- Anlage) ausgerüstet und hat eine permanent laufende Entkeimungsanlage, um das Nutzwasser bakterienfrei zu halten.

Electricity is produced from renewable energy sources.
Solar panels and a wind generator of the last generation are producing the daily needs of electricity - large battery banks
make energy available at night. Strom wird aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen gewonnen. Solarzellen und ein Windgenerator erzeugen den Tagesbedarf – große Batterienbänke stellen Energie in der Nacht bereit.

We DO NOT OVERLOAD the catamaran. There are 8 berths
for guests in four cabins and four berths in the salon. Seasickness occurs on a catamaran on significantly less than
on monohulls. Der Katamaran wird NICHT überladen.
Es stehen für Gäste 8 Kojen in vier Kabinen und 4 Kojen im
Salon zur Verfügung. Seekrankheit tritt auf einem Katamaran signifikant seltener auf als auf Schiffen mit einem Rumpf.

Rosa is a trained chef, she sailed 6 Atlantic crossings, has the diving
license can steer the ship without the "Captain". She speaks Spanish, Creole, English and some German. She understands the Kuna Indians - she is their fellow countrymen. Panamá is Rosas home. As she is a diver, she knows in Kuna Yala wonderful snorkelling sites. If we catch fresh fish Rosa prepares him to be caught fresh.
Rosa ist gelernte Köchin, sie segelte 6 Atlantikquerungen, hat den Tauchschein, kann das Schiff auch ohne den "Captain" führen. Sie spricht Spanisch, Creol, Englisch und etwas Deutsch. Sie versteht die "Tules", wie sich die Kuna Indios nennen – es sind ihre Landsleute. Rosa kommt aus Panamá.

Sailing SanBlasIslands Carlos is from Austria and was a aircraft engineer. In the second chance he did his master in business administration. But don’t worry he has no typical academic attitudes. He holds a licence for commercial ships, all the relevant licenses for recreational sailing and is also a certified captain of the U. S. Coast Guard. Carlos has been sailing for over 30 years on oceangoing catamarans on the route of 5 circumnavigations. He speaks German, English and Spanish.
Carlos kommt aus Österreich und war Flugzeugtechniker. Im zweiten Bildungsweg machte er sein Diplom in Betriebswirtschaft, hat aber keine typisch akademischen Attitüden. Er erwarb eine USCG Lizenz für die Berufsschiffahrt und machte diverse Segelscheine. Er segelt seit über 30 Jahren auf hochsee-tauglichen Katamaranen die Strecke von 5 Weltumsegelungen. Carlos spricht Deutsch, Englisch und Spanisch.
